I'm kinda infamous on this server for my crazy opinions about masturbation, so I'll let it all out here. This stuff only applies to males, you lucky females get to masturbate as much as you want with no repercussions
Masturbation negatively effects many hormones, increasing the bad stuff, and decreasing the good stuff. More testosterone made me more confident. Cold turkey is very hard like with everything, so you need to find other outlets for all those dick-related hormones. If it's possible for you, watch porn without masturbating, talk to attractive females. I find that playing with my pet rabbit helps me overcome the urge as it very temporarily decreases testosterone (rabbit looks like baby, babies lower testosterone).
