I say we keep it, if you don't like it don't use it. Pretty simple concept. For people that work together a lot it's invaluable, adventuring, mining, etc. Good for trade, for working on large projects (my sky diamond, the only way up is /home because a ladder or stairs would ruin the look, yet I'd still like to invite others to see my hard work or even better, to help finish it!). I think it builds a community feel because you can count on fellow players to be able to jump in and assist you, thus establishing much needed comradery. If the community isn't tight, then we all might as well be playing single player!

But you can have a tight nit community without the commands, an example i will use is Hermitcraft. They all work together and do cool things together. Yet they can't /tpa to each other or even /home or /spawn. It is TRUE vanilla then. and as for your sky diamond you could always have waterfalls cascading off of it, placed correctly it can look very good and wont take away from the look of it. And for my build the only way someone will be able to check it out is by using the railroad that will connect it with everything else. I really feel as though it takes away from the vanilla feel and that is why I am going to stop using them.

People that want to remove tpa will still use tpa even tho they want it gone.

I think we should keep it. We could easily 'survive' without it. It's a small world(Borders) and Coupon is in the full process of making a subway system in the Nether to connect people. But I still find it very useful from time to time. Just yesterday it was convenient, when someone needed something, I could just /home, get my stuff, then /spawn to him/her or make them tp to me to get the items, and then we could both get back to our own 'business'. If the commands weren't there people could sometimes have to walk half the map back and forth just to get a few items from people, that they needed here and now. Maybe if we set up an easier way to trade long distances, it would be okay. I only use it for trading, but I don't know about you guys/girls. But then people would have that removed too? Like a community ender chest type thing maybe?

But I'm not sure of any way to do it, for normal ender chests are character specific. So we would need a mod.
